Aró client- Golden Rock, Nevis

Dating back to the 1800s, set amongst the beautiful and untouched flora of the Caribbean Island of Nevis, is the luxury 4-star boutique hotel Golden Rock. Brice Marden - ‘the most profound abstract painter of the past four decades’ – according to the New York Times, became a hotel owner in 2006 when he and his wife Helen ended up as the proprietors of two bespoke properties: Tivoli, New York and the Golden Rock, Nevis.

After visiting the island and having a quick Christmas lunch at Golden Rock, Helen knew she wanted to acquire the property.

She soon teamed up with architect Edward Turtle and landscape designer Raymond Jungles to design the gorgeous 11-room resort that sits on the slope of a dormant volcano.

With over 150 species of plants, the gardens at the Golden Rock Inn are significant for both the divine architecture and the original and natural fauna.

Golden Rock signed up with Aró Digital Strategy in 2021 with the aim of increasing direct bookings and occupancy for the luxury hotel.

It’s a niche property set on the slopes of Nevis Peak and away from the beach so the new website needed to attract and engage an appropriate audience.

While the team liked the look of their existing website, conversion rates were low and the results on search engines were poor. Boutique hotel marketing, both organic and paid, provides the solution for these concerns.

Brand PPC and Google Hotels ads are giving great returns and increasing online bookings.

The Aró team worked on the website to provide elegant online solutions which reflect the personality and charm of this small, luxury hotel.

Engagement was improved by providing an open booking panel on both the mobile and desktop homepages.

The burger menu simplifies the navigational options on the website, providing a smooth user experience to visitors looking for options like booking a stay, dining in and exploring the famous gardens.

The gallery page of the website features some of the most exclusive images from the exotic resort, each with a “book now” call to action.

This again increases the conversion rate, providing a seamless user experience removing the need for them to go back to the home page for a booking.

The final piece of the jigsaw was adding the Aró internet booking engine.

This simple, high converting book direct solution for luxury hotels allows users to book a room of their choice in three simple steps, while also displaying all the prices for different rooms on different nights.

The 5 star reviews on Google My Business and Trip Advisor are hugely positive and reflect the authenticity and outstanding customer service provided by the hotel.

Aró Digital Strategy is proud to be the digital and book direct partner for Golden Rock; and also to some of the best luxury 4 and 5 star hotels not only in the UK and Ireland but in the Caribbean and beyond.
