Overview
Enterprise Ireland have announced details of a scheme proposed by The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI). It is in response to the COVID-19 crisis and the pressing need for retail companies to achieve a step change in their online offering.
The purpose of the €2m fund is to enable Irish-owned retailers to enhance their digital capability and to develop a more competitive online offer. This will enable an increase in their customer base and build a more resilient business in the domestic and global marketplace both online and offline.
Successful applicants will be awarded funding to support a maximum of 80% of the project’s eligible costs with a maximum grant of €40,000 and a minimum of €10,000. Full details are available on the Enterprise Ireland website here.

Application must be made via the Enterprise Ireland Online Application System during the call open dates. They recommend engaging with an agency with a strong capability in online retail and who can help with the whole process from planning to execution.
