The hotel wasn't yet built when Aró was contracted to create a website. The challenge with a new hotel is to form an identity that is consistent across all forms of press and media. The website was integral to supporting this as people became curious about the new hotel project and searched online for it.

THE SOLUTIONS

First creating a one page landing website to gather enquiries and later a full website, the team focused on a clean design that helped create excitement about this new hotel project in central London. 

Taking cues from concept imagery and the unique offering of gallery and artistic space, the website was designed with a rectangular motif, evocative of hanging canvases. This angular design is contemporary and allowed the interiors of the hotel to be the focal point throughout. 

It was important to also attract local people to the artist spaces and create a sense of neighbourhood. Items like the homepage video and social interaction signals were incorporated with this in mind. 

A 'perspective menu', which pushes the current page to the side to reveal the navigation options, gives the website a 3D and dynamic feel. Similarly, the horizontal scroll on the rooms page was a break from the norm, creating a sleek browsing experience for the user.
